Mixing car paints in general is going to require you to take a trip to the hardware store. You are going to buy the colors that you are going to mix already made which is very easy. In my opinion, mixing stains is up to you; but in previous years I have found it more cost efficient to do so. To buy the paint tins you need so many different tins to make up the color. There should be about four or five different tin colors to make every color up. Using a stirring stick, mix the paint and make sure that the color is very plain.
In the top the paint should be very clear, and below that is how the paint separates. It does not matter what the quantity of paint is there, the paint is that you get a form that goes in there. You need to make the paint up, and volume to one liter, quarter liter, and half liter of paint. When you stir the paint make sure you stir with the stir stick on.
There are color pigments that will cling to the sides until it is released. Move the lid, and put the paint down. Give a tiny bit of stir all around including the edges, and it will bring the different pigments/ colors together. You will need to stir the paint for the minimum of 30- 45 seconds. Stir the paint for a minute if the paint stands for a while. This paint if used quickly will work, but if you have it for six months the color may change if the paint has not been mixed properly.
You are finished when the paint has been mixed nicely, and kept open for give or take 20 seconds. In a few days when you come back to the paint you only need to re- stir it up. Make sure you know the point at which the color pigment has been set. The color is there when the color at the top and bottom is the same. That is how you know you mixed the color up correctly. If you want to mix car paints I hope what I have informed you about helps. Mixing car paints can be very hard, but it also can be very easy if you know what you are doing. If you follow those simple steps it should be very easy for you to get the color you desire when you go to mix your car paints. If done correctly, the color you have created should last for months; and will look great when you go to paint your car or walls.
